Everytime I see the date "2016" I'm floored! It's seem so futuristic to actually be present day. Then I looked at my Driver's License to see when it was up for renewal and it's not due until "2020" I was really floored.
okay, back on subject of what I've created.
I was on YouTube one day and came across a spinner card. I thought it was so darn cute and couldn't believe that I had not seen them before. I just had to make one. I have two very adorable little nieces (actually Grand-Nieces I think is the proper word, but that just makes me feel old haha). I had a sheet of really cute Disney's Minnie Mouse designer card stock and ended up with this: The card itself is 6x6 and the little heart spins around and around as it moves back and forth across the track (have to hold the card and tilt it right and left to get the heart to spin and slide). So stinkin cute! I'm not sure card stock I will use for my other little niece but I know I will have fun making it,

February Projects
My craft room is filling up with projects and all the wonderful things that are needed to make projects. I swear the walls are expanding lol.
Here are some of the things I've made recently and I'm holding class on these projects at Michael's in Lee's Summit, Missouri.
This is a 3x4 Pocket Mini Album that will hold all those Ephemera cards that we all have been collecting as well as the small wallet size photos or little journaling cards. This would make a great little gift for someone.

Super cute Tea Box Dispenser.

These are super simple to make with Spellbinder dies in a manual die cutting machine like a Grand Calibur or a Cuddlebug. The Heart, Doily and oval emblem were made with the Cricut Explore.

Small Tote filled with little Valentine's Day cards. These cards are approximately 3 1/2 x 4 inches, and perfect size for a school Valentine's.

Winter Scrapbook Page Layout
I bought this beautiful paper pad from Michael's, it's a Recollections 12x12 pad and it's Seasonal and it's called "Crystal Frost" it's all silvery and blue and I just love it. I made this Winter layout using the paper and some die cuts from my Cricut Explore. I'm not sure that it's showing up very well, but I covered the title in Glossy Accents and it really added a nice effect. The snowflakes are from an old punch that I have and I'm not even sure where I got it.

A New Christmas Project
Finally, a new post! and a new project to go with it.
This is an Explosion Box Card that I've made for my brother and his family for Christmas. The cardstock that I used is Recollections (from Michael's) seasonal "Red and White Christmas" 12x12 pad and a bunch of stuff that was cut from my cricut Explore. I will let the photos describe the box.

Making Christmas Cards
I've been knee deep in Christmas card creation and wanted to share the different types of cards that I made. I've been working alot with different stamping techniques, trying to get competent with the different methods. I love the different techniques of creating backgrounds. I used Colorbox pigment and dye ink as well as Close to My Heart, Stampin Up! and Ranger. I must say that I like the Colorbox the best for overall general background making and Ranger Jet Black for Stamping images that need to be colored in later. For messages, such as Greetings, I recently bought a VersaFine and oh my gosh, do I ever love it! My greetings come out so much better.
Christmas Is on It's Way!
I was inspired by Pinterest to make this card and to be honest, it was terribly difficult lol. I wan't able to find a template for the inside mats and it was that part that I had trouble with, not the pop up part. I think the card turned out very well and I know my daughter will love it.

What I've been making....
What have I been up to? I've been having fun in my craft room...
The first set of photos is from the Tim Holtz Chronical's Journal kit....yes, a Kit! it's great and I had so much fun putting it together. There is lot's of space to add to it, so I did. I added pockets and elements and whatnots.
This is the card that I made for my niece and her bride for their wedding and the box that I made for it, since it was too dimensional to fit in a normal envelope.
This is the mixed media canvas gift that I made for the newly weds. The idea was the first initial of each of their first names and the large initial of their last name. But, I found out too late that my niece decided to take her bride's last name...ah well. I bought the box below the photo at Michael's to put the gift in with the idea that they could later use it to store their wedding cards.
My loving husband bought me a Cricut Explore Air for my birthday! I've been experimenting with it. This is a very intricate, print then cut doily....came out awesome!
I went a little crazy with the purse shaped gift bags and turned them into Halloween themed treat bags using Graphic 45 paper. I forget the name of the paper stack, but I just love it. These are hanging on my display board in my classroom.
That's it for now, thanks for reading and stay tuned for more of.....well everything!
